YAP holds roundtable â€œAzerbaijani people support Turkey in fight against PKK terrorâ€

Deputy Chief of the party, Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov gave information about terrorist acts committed by PKK in the past 20 years. He said thousands of Turkish people were killed during these actions. Noting that Azerbaijan is a country, which underwent terrorist acts, Ali Ahmadov underlined the importance of joint fighting against terrorism.
â€œTerrorists often address on behalf of a nation, but a terrorist has no nation. They only try to hide behind nation and commit their dirty actions. Maybe Turkey does not need our support in the fight against terrorism, but this is our moral support. There are historical facts when Turkish soldiers were killed for Azerbaijanâ€™s independence and Azerbaijani soldiers were killed for Turkeyâ€™s independence,â€ he said.
Head of Ataturk Center, parliamentarian Nizami Jafarov, chairman of Citizen Solidarity Party Sabir Rustamkhanli, head of Great Establishment Party Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chief of Justice Party Ilyas Ismayilov, parliamentarians Musa Guliyev, Azay Guliyev, Zahid Oruj expressed their position and said that Azerbaijan should support Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
A statement was announced at the end of the event.
The attendees condemned PKK terror and expressed their solidarity with Turkish people. /APA/
