Elmar Mammadyarov: Uncontrolled conflict zones have turned to potential terrorist centers

FM focused global geopolitical relations in Caspian region in the article â€œAzerbaijan: Beyond energyâ€.
â€œCaspian region plays a great role in Azerbaijan, European countries and economic interesting zonesâ€™ access to Asia. This region is of great importance to US as special energy source in the period of global changes,â€ he said.
Elmar Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijanâ€™s petrodollars are directed to the development of other fields of economics â€“ agriculture and tourism.
â€œDevelopment of democratic processes in the region countries is closely connected with economic progress,â€ he said.
Azerbaijani FM stated that main priority in South Caucasus is settlement to the conflict.
â€œThere is no any mechanism for controlling effectively the main separatist nests Nagorno Karabakh, Abkhazia and South Ossetia today. Uncontrolled conflict zones have turned to the centers of potential terror and organized crimes. Solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is of great importance from this point of view, this region can get autonomy taking principle of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan into consideration. Therefore Armenia should withdraw its forces from occupied Azerbaijani territories,â€ he said. /APA/
