Khalaf Khalafov: Azerbaijan will coordinate continuation of discussing the issue on complex security in the Caspian Sea

He mentioned that draft declaration was prepared and adopted, as a result of the preparations for the summit, meetings on the level of experts and meeting of foreign ministers before the summit. The Deputy Minister said this is the first successful, all-round political document of the five states, which covers the positions of the states.
â€œThe declaration created a serious basis for the continuation of the talks. We will achieve full agreement of the convention on the Caspianâ€™s status,â€ he said.
Khalaf Khalafov said that the working group will continue its activity in the framework of deputy ministers and the next meeting of the working group will be held in Tehran.
â€œHolding the next summit is very important, and it will be held in Baku. We will schedule the summit along with the parties,â€ he said.

â€œWe will try to summarize all proposals and present to the parties. We will do our best to reach agreements,â€ he said.
Commenting on the issue on distribution of the Caspian Sea, Khalaf Khalafov said that it will be solved as a result of bilateral talks.
â€œWe regularly have talks with Turkmenistan and Iran. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister is planned to visit Azerbaijan for this purpose,â€ he said.
The Deputy Minister said that there are two proposals on the construction of sub sea pipelines, one of them is to coordinate the construction of the pipelines with each Caspian state.
â€œAzerbaijanâ€™s position is that the construction of the pipeline should be agreed on with the state, through which it will run. This is more correct from the aspect of international law and practice,â€ he said. /APA/
