Energy summit continues in Vilnius

Lithuanian president Valdas Adamkus will make a report on the theme.
Polish Lech Kaczynski will make speech on “Krakow conference: next steps” and Prime Minister of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas on “Development of energy cooperation between Caspian and Black Sea regions: for extending energy market”.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Romanian president Traian Basescu, Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko, Kazakh Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev, Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri, Bayrammirat Miradov, executive director of State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan will make speech on common themes.
European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs is expected to chair the plenary session on “Global challenges to energy security and foreign energy policy of European Union.
Latvia’s President Valdis Zatlers will make speech on “Solution to the problem of ‘Energy islands’: Baltic states”, Estonia’s Prime Minister Andrus Ansip on “Goal – is reliable delivery of energy resources to Baltic region” and Czechia’s Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Alexandr Vondra on “Solidarity – basis of European Union’s energy policy”.
Press conference is planned to be held on the outcomes of the summit.
Press conference on the outcomes of the forum of energy enterprises will also be held in Vilnius. /APA/
