Meeting of GUAM Council of Heads of States held in Vilnius

He said that President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, as well as heads of the states of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine participate in the meeting. The Presidents will make reports on the measures taken during the activity of the organization and they will exchange views on the development models of the organization. Forum on regional cooperation in energy has started in Vilnius along with the meeting of GUAM Council of the Heads of States. The meeting will be continued in the format of roundtable with the participation of Presidents of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will make a report on the insurance of alternative energy resources, energy security, cooperation between importers and exporters of energy deliveries.
Ambassador stated that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is expected to have unofficial meeting with President of Poland Lech Kaczynski and Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus today. Following this, GUAM Foreign Ministers will meet today. /APA/
