Gultakin Hajiyeva reports on â€œActivity of International Migration Organizationâ€ at PACE fall session

Gultakin Hajiyeva focused on issues regarding organizationâ€™s activity that the Council of Europe and its member states are interested in and also showed the ways how to use its services. The report basically focused on migrantsâ€™ needs, their problems and etc.
Mrs. Hajiyeva giving examples from Azerbaijan having more than 1 million refugees and IDPs underlined that people migrate to Azerbaijan from various countries after the USSR collapsed. She added that Azerbaijan had to shelter refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq and Chechenstan because of conflicts ongoing in those countries. She said that International Migration Organization has 3 bureaus in Azerbaijan and they help the government in the implementation of projects, development of competence to manage the migration process and especially highly appreciated the works carried out in Nakhchivan.
