Ganira Pashayeva meets with Ukrainian President and Prime Minister

Azerbaijani parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva who observed extraordinary parliamentary elections in Ukraine in the composition of the observation mission of Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) met with Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Victor Yanukovich, Pashayeva told the APA.
She said that they debated elections held in Ukraine, as well as Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations in the meetings they had together with the member of the mission, British parliamentarian Michael Hancock.
â€œBoth of them said that Azerbaijan is a very important country, strategic partner and ally for Ukraine, they always support development of Azerbaijan and great potential exists for the rapid development of relations,â€ she said.
Pashayeva stated that Ukrainian President highly assessed cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan within GUAM and international organizations. Azerbaijani MP expressed his opinions on the coordination of cooperation of GUAM countries and cooperation between the delegations of the two countries in PACE. /APA/
