PACE fall session starts in Strasbourg

PACE President René van der Linden and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović will address the Assembly in the opening ceremony.
The second half of the day will be fully devoted to the migration problems in Europe. Several reports are planned to be made on the theme.
Member of Azerbaijani delegation Gultakin Hajiyeva will present her report #11351 on the activities of the international organization for migration (IOM) Brunson McKinley, Director General of the International Organization for Migration is planned to make statement on the theme.
The issues interesting Azerbaijan, such as decriminalisation of defamation and budget of the Council of Europe will also be debated at the session. The session will last for a week.
Presidents of several countries and political figures will attend the session as guests invited by PACE president.
Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov, Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović, the newly-elected Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and all Russia, President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and speaker of Iranian parliament Gholamali Haddad Adel and speaker of Moldovan parliament Marian Lupu are among the guests.
Ogtay Asadov will attend the meetings on October 3-4.
He is planned to meet with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Terry Davis, PACE President René van der Linden and head of Ago group.
Azeri speaker will also have meeting with Turkish President Abdullah Gül on October 3. /APA/
