GUAM Council of National Coordinators signed final protocol in Baku

The decision on it was made in the 7th meeting of GUAM Council of National Coordinators held in Baku. National Coordinators debating further activity of GUAM countries on the issues in the agenda of 62nd session of UN General Assembly agreed on continuation of consultations and UN member-statesâ€™ supporting resolutions included in the agenda. Following this, they succeeded in the agreement of the agenda, script and program drafts of the meeting of GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers in the framework of UN General Assembly. Azerbaijan presented the above-said documents to debate. Decision was made in the meeting of GUAM Council of National Coordinators on submitting agreement on regulations, superiorities and immunities of GUAM to GUAM Parliamentary Assembly for assertion. The meeting of GUAM Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Baku.
The two sides also precised GUAM 2007 budget and agreed draft 2008 budget. These documents will be submitted to GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers. The meeting mostly focused on the establishment of Virtual Center against terrorism, organized crime, drug smuggling and other crimes. The attendees decided to continue to agree this project prepared by the working groups and present final document to the GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers. Ukraineâ€™s information on the establishment of international public organization â€œGUAM International Development Fundâ€ was listened and it was advised to support this organization completely. Andrey veselovski, Ukrainian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affair asked to review the issue on the recognition of Golodomor genocide committed towards Ukrainian nation in 1932-1933 years.
