Delegation of Italian parliament arrives in Azerbaijan

Delegation led by chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament, Umberto Ranieri has arrived in Azerbaijan. The guests have met with members of Azerbaijani Parliament standing commission for International and interparliamentary relations today, APA reports.
Mr. Ranieri stated that Azerbaijan is a trade partner of Italy.
â€œTherefore we are interested in the development of Azerbaijan. We are ready to do our best for accelerating integration of Azerbaijan to Europe,â€ he said.
Samad Seyidov, chairman of Standing Commission of Azerbaijani Parliament mentioning that Azerbaijan has joined to â€œNew neighborhood policyâ€ of European Union stressed that official Baku is interested in establishing high-level relations with its neighbors.
Italian guests will meet with speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in the framework of one-day visit. /APA/
