Alexander Yakushin: Our goal is to show U.S. military team technical capabilities of Gabala radar

Major General Alexander Yakushin, first deputy head of Russiaâ€™s spaces forces headquarters told briefing that discussions aimed to show U.S. military team technical capabilities and parameters of Gabala radar station.
â€œGabala radar station is ready for any operation. We showed our American counterparts modernization and use perspectives of station, replied to all their questions and created base on the cooperation of the states in this field. I believe that the US and Russian expertsâ€™ bilateral meeting in October will be more efficient,â€ he said.
Head of Azerbaijani delegation, commander of Azerbaijan Military Air Forces General Rail Rzayev said Azerbaijan owns Gabala radar and Russia rents it.
â€œNo document or agreement was signed today. The experts had a meeting,â€ he said.
Head of the US expertsâ€™ group, U.S. Missile Defense Agency Deputy Director, Brigadier General Patrick Oâ€™Reilly expressed his gratitude to his Azeri colleagues for providing opportunities for familiarizing with Gabala radar. He said that the world states live in new strategic environment, and this factor makes cooperation necessary for preventing different threats.
The proposals, that will be prepared after the visit, will be debated at 2+2 meeting of the US and Russian Foreign Affairs and Defense Ministers. /APA/
