Khalaf Khalafov receives Council of Europe experts

Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov received representatives of Council of Europe Advisory Committee on Framework Convention on protection of national minorities, Foreign Ministryâ€™s press service told APA.
Deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan attaches a particular importance to dialogue with the Council of Europe and the issues on human rights and democratization as priorities within this dialogue and said is interested in establishing legal mechanisms and participating in them for expanding cooperation in the framework of the Council of Europe. The committee members expressed their gratitude for the organization of the visit and hospitality and satisfaction with the meetings with state officials. Being independent experts of the committee noted that they are engaged in monitoring and the aim of their visit is study the state of human rights in Azerbaijan and use the countryâ€™s practice in this field. The sides reached an agreement on continuing mutual dialogue for implementation of the convention. /APA/
