Delegation of EU-South Caucasus Parliamentary Cooperation Committee meets Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov

The delegation headed by the co-chair of European Union-South Caucasus Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Marie Anne Isler BÃ©guin visiting Azerbaijan today met with Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov, the ministryâ€™s press service told APA. Speaking about democratic reforms carried out in the country, the minister gave broad information about effective results of judicial reforms.
Underlining Azerbaijanâ€™s active cooperation with European Union, Ms. BÃ©guin shared her impressions about the eighth meeting of the European Union-South Caucasus Parliamentary Cooperation Committee held in the parliament and said open and efficient debates were held there. Issues on cooperation, freedom of speech and media and problems concerning journalists were debated during the meeting.
The delegation members were created conditions for visiting the penitentiary service. /APA/
