The unauthorized protest was prevented by the police.
A total of 10 party members tried to approach the building of the Cabinet of Ministers but were stopped by the police. They were not allowed to shout slogans and read the resolution. Five protesters were detained and taken to the police department #9. Police said that they will be released after notifications.
Socio-economic policy pursued by the government is the cause for the protest action, says the resolution presented to the reporters.
ANIP claims to review price policy, to raise salary, pensions, allowances, resume concessions to Azerbaijanis, who became refugees from Armenia.
There was an interesting dialogue between the police and Party’s spokesman Ali Orujov. A.Orujov who was used to be detained by the police traditionally has been missed out this time. When journalists asked the police “Don’t you take Ali Orujov?” the police captain opened the back door of the car and told A.Orujov “to get into the car”. A.Orujov in his turn answered like “One of you, come and take me”. And after that, one of police officers took the party’s secretary. /APA/
