Azerbaijani Parliament chairman meets President of S. Korea

Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov while on official visit to S. Korea met with President Roh Moon-hyun, Parliamentâ€™s press service told the APA.
Korean President said that cooperation with Azerbaijan in political, economical, cultural and other sectors is of great importance to them.
Mr. Asadov said that they will take proper measures for expanding friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries. He said that the intensification of relations in all fields will be useful for the two sides.
â€œTrade turnover between our countries comprised approximately $ 110 million in 2006. The digit was over $157 million in the six months of the current year. Several Korean companies are successfully operating in Azerbaijan. Korean National Oil Corporation possessed 20% share in the agreement on commissioning Inam oil field in Azerbaijani section of the Caspian Sea recently,â€ he said.
Mr. Asadov also met with National Assembly chairman Lim Chae-Chang and visited Korean Electric Energy Corporation. Azerbaijani parliamentary delegationâ€™s official visit to Korea continues. /APA/
