Why opposition party leaders were not at the site of the accident?
Leader of Azerbaijan National Independence Party Etibar Mammadov stated that he was near the area when the accident occurred. Mammadov saying that he has enough information about the accident regards that political leaders are not needed to be at the site.
“Specialists should be at the site. There is no need to come there for taking photos. Party leaders and chiefs have special statuses in other countries. No one in our opposition parties have status, and those who have status did not use it,†he said.
Chairman of Classic Popular Front Party Mirmahmud Miralioglu stated that several opposition leaders take such steps for taking photos.
“They go to wedding and mourning only for this purpose. But there are those who did not do it for advertisement. I believe that several opposition leaders were at the site. I was there when the accident occurred,†he said.
Co-chair of Azerbaijan Social Democratic Party Araz Alizada stated that he could not arrive at the place of the accident as he underwent surgery.
Arif Hajili, deputy chairman of the Musavat Party said that he was at the site. He said that he does not know whether Isa Gambar, head of the party was there or not.
Leader of Civil Solidarity Party Sabir Rustamkhanli said that he was at the site twice.
Parliamentarian Panah Huseyn said that he was near the State Statistical Committee when the accident occurred.
“There was bad situation there, the rescuers were working there, therefore there was no need to be there at that time,†he said.
Chief of Executive Committee of Azerbaijan Liberal Party Elman Mammadzada said that there was no need that leader of the Party Lala Shovkat was there. He said that, not political persons, but specialists should be at the site.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Ali Karimli said that he was not in Baku at that time.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu said that he was in Switzerland at that time. /APA/
