Members of the working group of Karabakh Forum established on the initiative of Union for Democracy met with the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse. APA reports quoting the working group that the forum’s position regarding the solution to the Karabakh conflict was debated at the meeting. The members of the working group said the mediators’ activity on the solution to the conflict is not satisfactory. They consider that pressures against Azerbaijan are inadmissible.
Pre-electoral socio-political situation in the country was also debated during the meeting. The Ambassador said they focus their attention on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and expressed her hope that the imprisoned journalists will be released. Ms. Derse said the Embassy officers will continue to attend the meetings of Karabakh Forum. /APA/
