“If electorates do not support the program of a political party running a campaign and do not vote for that party’s candidate it is not about the character of electoral environment in Azerbaijan,†executive secretary of ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov briefed journalists, APA reports.
Mr.Ahmadov said that some political parties wish to succeed in elections by making changes to the electoral legislation and composition of electoral commission and do not count on their potential. He stated that he is against such an approach to the election:†There is a dissent between opposition leaders on the attendance the upcoming elections. If somebody does not intend to attend 2008 presidential elections or does not have such an opportunity it does not have to mean that elections are boycotted. There is no political party to boycott elections in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani citizens intend to attend 2008 president elections†he added./APA/
