Some Azerbaijani officials along with FM Elmar Mammadyarov attend wedding of Matthew Bryza and Zeyno Baran

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijani consul general Elin Suleymanov, Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev, SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, vice-president of parliament Valeh Alasgerov, Democratic Reforms Partyâ€™s leader Asim Mollazade and his brother Jeyhun Mollazade were among the attendees.
Besides, there were Georgian permanent representative to the UN, Irakli Alasaniya, Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava, US Ambassador to Georgia John Taft, former Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, deputy head of administrative office of Turkish Foreign Ministry Ahmad Unal Chevikoz, EU Special Representative to the South Caucasus, Peter Semnebi, Turkish parliamentarian from MHP Gunduz Aktan among the guests.
Some Armenian NGOs representatives also attended the wedding.
American guests underlined that Matthew Bryza and Zeyno Baran invited guests because of their friendship. They stressed that they wanted to spend this special day among their friends. Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov was the only righter both from groomâ€™s and fiancÃ©eâ€™s side.
Congratulation letters by heads of states as well as by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev were read at the beginning of the ceremony. After congratulation letters were read, Matthew Bryza stated that he is grateful to the authors of enerjy projects implemented in the region: â€œThese energy projects played an important role in my and Zeynoâ€™s life. We met each other on strategic energy projects, both of us graduated from Stanford University, though,â€ he added.
Zeyno Baran added that they would not be able to hold wedding ceremony at Bosporus if not the Baku-Tbilisiâ€“Ceyhan project. Newly-weds asked attendees to support â€œFather, send me to schoolâ€ campaign as a wedding gift. 3-day-longing wedding ceremony was held in Bosporus and at Suada resort on Guru Cheshme island./APA/
