Sardar Jalaloglu: Oppositions’ consultation board might turn to alliance in depending on the processes
He said that ADP supports the only candidate of opposition, establishment of election alliance, amendments in Election Code, establishment of democratic condition.
Jalaloglu saying that ADP’s participation in election will be defined in the debate with other opposition parties advised to develop opposition’s idea Consultation Council.
ANI chairman Ayaz Rustamov said that they have not yet debated the body’s being substituted with election alliance. He said that the general opinion is linked with the parties’ participation in the election.
“Election condition will be normalized and joint measures will be taken on the amendments in Election Code. I think that alliance is due to be established for struggling for democratic elections, but election alliance can not be established yet,†he said.
Member of Musavat Assembly Vurgun Ayyub finds consultations among opposition parties necessary. He said it is difficult to speak about the further status of the above-said Council as it has not yet become official body.
“I think we will probably witness establishment of any body pre-election. Musavat always supported opposition parties’ carrying out joint debates. If such body is established, Musavat will be one of its founders. There is no opinion regarding it yet,†he said.
The chairman of Open Society Party (OSP) Akif Shahbazov stated that opposition can participate in the lections with the only candidate.
“But only candidate was opposition’s problem and this idea caused its destruction. Therefore it is too early to speak of it,†he said.
Musavat, Democrat, National Independence, Prosperity, Social Democrat Parties and Public Forum for Azerbaijan is represented in the Consultation Council. /APA/
