One of the US Jewish organizations – Anti-Defamation League (ADL) dismissed his responsible official Endryu Tarsin for New England region, APA’s US bureau reports.
New England part covers Boston city where Armenians are living densely. Tarsin’s recognizing the so-called Armenian genocide and stating it caused his dismissal.
ADL stated that the society do not deny losses occurred in both sides in 1915, but making decision in the Congress about these events can have negative results and impede historical investigations of Turkey.
ADL leadership regards that the US Congress’s making decision on ‘Armenian genocide’ will strike Jewish community of Turkey, and the country will not be able to restore relations with Armenia.
Boston Armenians tried to hinder the Anti-Semitism program “There is no place for hate†implemented by ADL. They wanted the league to recognize the so-called genocide in return of not impeding the implementation of the program “There is no place for hateâ€. But Anti-Defamation League will be loyal to its position till the end. /APA/
