The commemoration will start after march to be held from Mashedi Azizbayov monument till the Honor Alley on August 23 on the 7th death anniversary of Elchibey. Aliyev stressed that nobody has been especially invited to the commemorative ceremony.
Chief of Classic Popular Front Party (CPFP) Mirmahmud Miralioglu told the APA, they will visit the tomb of Elchibey at 11.00 on August 22.
The deputy chief of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) Hasan Karimov said that they will visit the tomb of Elchibey with the Party’s members at 12.00 that day.
The United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (UAPFP) told the APA the Management Body of the Party made a decision on the commemoration of Elchibey. According to the decision, the party leadership as well as activists of party’s branches in Baku, Absheron, Sumgayit and occupied Azerbaijani regions will visit Elchibey’s tomb on August 23. After visiting the tomb, the UAPFP leadership and a group of members of region organizations will attend the commemorative ceremony to be held at the house of Abulfez Elchibey.
Elchibey’s son-in-law Agil Samadbayli told the APA, the family of the deceased will visit the tomb in the Alley of Honor at 10.00 on August 22 and no other ceremony will be held. Aliyev said that he did not understand why the Party members are visiting the tomb of Elchibey on August 23.
