“It was very fruitful meeting and I was impressed. Ilham Aliyev is a very experienced and erudite politician who unites all the peculiarities of a Western leader,†he said.
Mr. Lieberman touched on the improvements observed in Azerbaijan lately:
“Azerbaijan is interesting, strategic country for Israel. Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is obvious example of that. Ceyhan port is situated in 600 km from Israel. But we are interested in buying Azerbaijani oil and gas,†he said.
Israeli Minister stressed that Jews are living in Azerbaijan in safe condition.
“It has always been so. Israel is interested in the development of the relations with Azerbaijan in all the spheres. Our government will do its best for the development of bilateral friendship relations,†he said. /APA/
