“The elections held in Nagorno Karabakh are null and void and neither international organizations, nor world countries recognize the results of these elections. Only Azerbaijani Central Election Commission has the right to hold elections in this territory,†secretary of Central Election Commission (CEC) Natig Mammadov told APA while taking a stance on the local elections scheduled on October 14 by Nagorno Karabakh Armenians.
CEC secretary said that the elections held by puppet regime contradict to the international law and Azerbaijani Constitution. Natig Mammadov considers that Armenians’ acts show that they are far from compromise while peace talks are being carried out.
“Azerbaijan tries to solve the conflict peacefully, but Armenians continue diversion. These actions will only prevent the process of negotiations. Nagorno Karabakh is under temporary control of the separatist regime. These shows are organized to disguise this regime. Elections, presidency or municipality are out of question in Nagorno Karabakh,†he said. /APA/
