Mr. Gasimov said there are high-level relations between the two countries and noted that Jordan and Azerbaijan cooperate in the framework of international organizations, as well as UN and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC).
“Jordan and Azerbaijan have high-level political relations. Jordan supports Azerbaijan in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,†he said.
The press secretary said strengthening economic relations between the two countries were debated during the president’s visit. Azer Gasimov noted that Jordan took interest in Azerbaijan’s potential as a transport corridor.
Mr. Gasimov underlined that cooperation in regional, medical, scientific, tourism and humanitarian spheres was also debated during the visit.
“Azerbaijani President familiarized himself with Jordan’s Defense Industry Complex during his visit. Military supplies and other defense industry equipment were exhibited there. Besides, 7km Heydar Aliyev Avenue was opened in Amman,†he said.
