CE Commissioner for Human Rights to visit Azerbaijan

Council of Europe (CE) Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan in the first decade of September, the commissionerâ€™s office told APA.
The visit will last about 10 days and consist of three parts: governmental meetings, meetings with NGO representatives, judges and lawyers and visiting prisons, police stations, children’s homes, IDP camps, centers for handicapped people and women underwent violence and mental hospitals.
Thomas Hammarberg will draw up a report on the state of human rights in Azerbaijan.
The commissionerâ€™s office said that drawing up the report will take 3-4 months. /APA/
