Venice Commission replies to proposal of Constitution Researches Fund

The chairman of Council of Europe (CE) Venice Commissionâ€™s department for elections and referendum Sergey Kuznetsov replied to the proposal of Constitution Research Foundation on formation of elections commissions through testing, chief of the Foundation Alimammad Nuriyev told the APA.
Kuznetsov stated that initiated proposals were interesting and underlined that they will attentively study the proposal.
â€œThe letter says they will express their opinion regarding these proposals at the end of the process. I regard that the other international organizations will also reply to these proposals. Because, the proposals we presented can be efficient for the formation of impartial and reliable commissions,â€ he said.
Nuriyev stating that the government has not yet reacted to the proposals stressed that they are interested in the present format, and the opposition in the formation of election commissions on parity.
â€œBut I regard that the commissions should be formed through testing, equal opportunities should be established for all,â€ he said. /APA/
