The Special envoy said that reforms in energy field and conformation of the legislation to European standards have already started. He added that the five-year action plan may be prolonged.
The diplomat said that twining (joint operation of one filed by European and Azerbaijani institutions) is being held on the basis of this document.
Mr. Waddams replying to the question on EU’s assisting Azerbaijan in promotion of democracy said that democracy and human rights are issues that can not be solved in one day.
“European Union should not establish democracy in Azerbaijan instead of the country itself. Special attention is paid to this field in the action plan,†he said. /APA/
