Safar Abiyev: Peace talks can not be endless

Georgian Defense Minister David Kezerashvili made an official visit to Azerbaijan on July 12, Defense Ministryâ€™s press service told the APA.
He started his visit program by visiting the tomb of the then Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev and Martyrsâ€™ Avenue. Azerbaijani Defense Minister, General Colonel Safar Abiyev received Georgian Defense Minister and the delegation at Defense Ministry.
Mr. Abiyev stating strategic character of Azerbaijani-Georgian cooperation said that the relations should be deepened, efforts in the restoration of territorial integrity of states and protection of security in the region should be united, as the two countries have the same problems.
Azeri Minister speaking about the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict said that peaceful solution of the conflict is preferred for continuation of negotiations on the solution of the conflict in the framework of OSCE Minsk Group.
â€œBut peace talks can not be endless. Armenia should comply with international law standards and leave occupied Azerbaijani regions. Otherwise, Azerbaijan will liberate its lands from invaders,â€ he said.
Mr.Kezerashvili stated that cooperation between the Defense Ministries of the two countries in various fields serves common interests of the country. The ministers exchanged views on the prospects of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia. /APA/
