Prof. Anvar Konukchu: We proved that Yerevan was established by Turks

An international conference was held on Turkish-Armenia relations in Arzurum. US scientist Justin McCarthy, 9th Turkish President Suleyman Dmirel, retired army generals and diplomats participated in the conference. The participants got acquainted with mass graves found in Obakoi village of Ighdir, APA reports. Arzurum University History Departmentâ€™s head, Professor Anvar Konukchu told APA Turkey is a great state and do not pay serious attention to t Armenian claims.
â€Scientific explanation of the issue is clear. Armenians failed to divide Turkish Empire with the help of Tzar Russia and Western states. Now they want to settle their problems at the expense of turkey. No one denies death cases during Armenian population deportation to other regions of the Empire. But massacres were carried out by two sides and mass graves are evidence of that. Anvar Konukchu said researches proved that Iravan (Yerevan) was established by Turks and publications on that will be presented to society./APA/
