Khalaf Khalafov: Gabala radar station will not be used against a third country

â€œJoint use of Gabala radar station by Russia and the US is a very important problem. It is especially of great importance from the aspect of establishing global stability and strategic balance,â€ Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov told a press conference, APA reports.
The deputy minister said that Azerbaijan has become the center of ongoing processes.
â€œGabala radar station is Azerbaijanâ€™s property. According to the leasing agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia, if a third country wants to use it is to be consulted with Azerbaijan. We think if this station can serve the establishment of strategic balance between power states, it means that Azerbaijan have contributed to this process. Using this station against any neighboring state is ruled out. We consider that any cooperation can be realized in this context is not against the interests of the third country, and will serve global stability, strengthening of peace and strategic balance,â€ he said. /APA/
