NATO senior official to visit Azerbaijan

Jean Fournet is to participate in the meetings to be held within the framework of NATO week on July 9-14. The visitor is to hold meeting with Azerbaijanâ€™s officials. During these period, it is expected to hold Euro-Atlantic Partnership Colloquium, summer session of NISA, seminar for chiefs of state bodiesâ€™ press services and journalists, meeting of representatives of NATO information centers in partner states, ceremony of opening Euro-Atlantic information center in Ganja and other measures. The meetings will be held under slogan â€œEnergy security and defense of vital infrastructure in euro-atlantics areaâ€. The following themes will be debated: region of three seas and role of this region in energy securityâ€, â€œRole of energy resources: perspectives and alternativesâ€, â€œTerror threatâ€, â€Economical aspects of energy securityâ€, â€NATO role in energy securityâ€, â€Azerbaijanâ€™s strategy on energy securityâ€.
