Roundtable on tolerance in the South Caucasus held in ANAS

Roundtable on “Tolerance in the South Caucasus: brotherhood of Azerbaijani, Georgia and Jewish peoples” was held in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Human Rights Institute, APA reports. The roundtable was initiated by ANAS Human Rights Institute and Israel-Azerbaijan International Association.
Director of the institute, Professor Rovshen Mustafayev highly appreciated the importance of the forum.
“Armenia’s mono-ethnic, policy, anti-Azerbaijan and anti-Georgia actions, as well as organizing terrorist groups pose threats to values of different cultures in the South Caucasus,” he said.
Head of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association Baku bureau Vahid Bayramov read the letter of the association’s president, parliamentarian Iosif Shagal to the participants.
The letter writes that real tolerance, relations among the peoples formed and strengthened in Azerbaijan.
Expert on Jewish history Moses Bekker, Georgian scientists, professors Anzor Totagze, Paata Daviltaya, executive director of Sokhnut Jewish agency Lazar Sukerman and others condemned Armenia’s aggressive policy.
The participants adopted a resolution at the end of the event.
The resolution covers supporting constructive socio-scientific relations serving formation of information-humanitarian space among Azerbaijan, Georgia and Israel and initiating on organizing Public Assembly of South Caucasus and Near East peoples to establish peace and stability. /APA/
