Trian Basescu stated that they support OSCE’s initiatives on “frozen conflicts†in the USSR – Transdnestria in Moldova, South Ossetia in Georgia and Nagorno Karabakh in Azerbaijan.
“We think that “frozen conflicts†should be solved within the territorial integrity and respect to national sovereignty,†he said.
Trian Basescu underlined the necessity of real cooperation of GUAM member states with western countries.
“GUAM member states should not cooperate with western countries only in political sphere,†he said.
Trian Basescu criticized Russia’s position on Convention on Firearms in Europe. He stated that though Russia undertaken commitment on withdrawing its bases from Moldova and Georgia in 1999, it has not been fulfilled yet. /APA/
