Azerbaijani speaker receives Estonian parliament’s deputy chairman

Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov received deputy chairman of Estonian parliament Kristiina Ojuland attending GUAM summit in Baku, parliament’s press service told the APA. Ogtay Asadov spoke about ancient history of Azerbaijan-Estonia relations and said that the relations developed rapidly after gaining independence.
The speaker said that there are high-level friendship relations between the two countries and our parliamentarians share position while debating issues in international events.
Ogtay Asadov informed the visitor of the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, main dimensions of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy and Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
Estonian guest said that she was in Baku three years ago and is pleased with the changes in Baku.
Kristiina Ojuland said rapid development of Baku demonstrates the country’s strong economic potential.
They exchanged views on the development of bilateral economic, political, cultural and interparliamentary relations. /APA/
