Vasif Talibov receives UN Resident Coordinator to Azerbaijan

Chairman of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov received UN Resident Coordinator to Azerbaijan Bruno Pouezat, APAâ€™s Nakhchivan bureau reports. Head of Baku office of International Organization for Migration Sarat Dash also participated in the meeting.
Mr.Talibov said that UN Development Program has been implemented in Azerbaijan for 15 years, poverty was reduced, mined territories were cleared, environmental programs and other projects were implemented during this period. He also touched upon the activities carried out in Nakhchivan AR in the framework of the UNDP.
Noting that GDP produced by private sector makes up 85% Supreme Assembly chairman said about $ 8mln has been allocated to the development of the private sector.
UN Resident Coordinator expressed satisfaction with the successful implementation of the projects and appraised Azerbaijanâ€™s integration into the world.
The cooperation of UN institutions in Azerbaijani with Nakhchivan AR was also debated during the meeting. /APA/
