Valeri Chechelashvili: Baku summit will pave the way for new stage of cooperation in GUAM

â€œUkraine will hand over GUAM chairmanship to Azerbaijan and new stage of the cooperation will start within the organization,â€ Secretary General of GUAMâ€“ Organization for Democracy and Economic Development Valeri Chechelashvili said at the roundtable on economic cooperation in the framework of GUAM in Kyiv. He said that GUAMâ€™s strategy on three spheres will be approved in the summit. It will cover cooperation on economic, law-enforcement and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The Secretary General said that nine working groups will operate within the summit and each of the co-founders will coordinate 2-3 working groups.
Chechelashvili said that academic circles, different experts may contribute to GUAM improvement and GUAM secretariat in Kyiv is always ready to cooperate.
The Secretary General said that the secretariat will be at its full capacity as from September 1 and move to its permanent office in Independence Square. /APA/
