Representatives from 23 states and 68 international organizations to attend GUAM Baku summit

Polish president Lech Kaczyński, Lithuanian president Valdas Adamkus, Romanian president Traian Basescu, Bulgarian vice-president Angel Marin, US Assistant Secretary of State, Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan Yabunaka, Latvian Economics Minister Yuri Strods, Estonian vice-speaker Ms. Kristina Ojuland, Secretary General of Austrian Foreign Ministry Ms. Johannes Kyrle, representatives of China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Germany, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Slovakia, Portugal, Greece and Italy will come as guests. Organizations have also been invited to the summit. Deputy Secretary General of Black sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSECO) Altay Efendiyev will also attend the summit.
GUAM-US and GUAM-Japan meetings are planned to be held in the framework of the summit.
GUAM National Coordinators’ Council will meet before the summit on June 16-17 and Foreign Ministers’ Council will meet on June 18.
Ukraine will hand over GUAM chairmanship to Azerbaijan in the second summit. /APA/
