Rabiyyat Aslanova: Certain anti-trafficking efforts measures are being made in Azerbaijan

â€œThe US State department of state shows Azerbaijan as transit country in its reports. Law-enforcement authorities are carrying out certain measures on removing Azerbaijan from such reportsâ€, Rabiyyat Aslanova, chairman of parliament commission on human rights said while commenting newly released US State Department 2007 trafficking in persons report.
â€œProblems are existing and efforts are being made to liquidate themâ€. According to her, there is legal basis in Azerbaijan to fight human trafficking. He said special establishment was founded on this purpose.
U.S State Department of State in newly released said Azerbaijan is a transit country for victims from many countries for commercial purposes. It is also said the government should develop and implement formal nation-wide victim identification procedures, and ensure that the nationwide toll-free hotline becomes functional./APA/
