No voting for vacancies in Musavat party assembly

No voting will be held to vacancies in the assembly of Musavat party at the next meeting, chairman of the Assembly Sulheddin Akbar told the APA. He said that the Assembly has 142 members and 24 vacancies. He said elections for vacancies were held at the last meeting and only four members were elected.
“According to the statute of the assembly, elections can not be held in two meetings. The elections for the vacancies will be held at the session to be held after the meeting on June 30,” he said.
Akbar said the agenda of the meeting is being prepared. Membership of new chiefs will be approved, the commissions’ activity and socio-political situation will be debated. He did not rule out that the issue on preparation for the 2008 presidential elections will be included into the agenda. /APA/
