“Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal is important and interesting. We hope this will be debated at level of experts,” he said.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Kislyak commenting on Putin’s proposal regarding Gabala radar station said it aims not to establish additional missile shield in Azerbaijan.
“We can not propose deploying missile defense system in the area of a third country. The existing radar system has many times been successfully tested. Gabala radar system can detect any missile launch in the Near and Middle East. Moreover, Russia regards that there is no threat making it urgent to deploy new missile shield in Poland and Czechia,” the deputy foreign minister underlined. /APA/
