Former Air Force battalion commander dies in the Netherlands

Veteran of Karabakh war, pilot, former commander of Air Forces battalion in Gala, Colonel Faig Rahimov died of long-lasting disease on June 8 in the hospital in Tilburg, the Netherlands, Azerbaijani living in the Netherlands Elman Mustafazade told the APA.
He said that Faig Rahimov had lived in the Netherlands for some eight years had a great role in establishing Azerbaijani Diaspora.
“He underwent pressure for not compromising Armenians and radical position in the liberation of Karabakh. All Azerbaijanis living in the Netherlands respected Colonel Faig Rahimov, he was chairman of Inspection Commission of Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis,†he said.
Rahimov will be buried in a Muslim cemetery in the Netherlands. /APA/
