Stephen Hadley: If Azerbaijani government does not mind, we won’t have problems in using Gabala radar station

He said that official Moscow proposed Washington to use Gabala radar station in stead of deploying new missile defense system in Czechia.
“It is known that there are limits on Idjis cruisers. Therefore, we consider it necessary to install equipment that will neutralize missiles in Europe,” he said.
Commenting on the US’s reaction to the proposal on using the radar station Hadley said that Washington does not worry about it.
“If the Azerbaijani government does not mind, we will have no problem,” he said.
Stephen Hadley said Washington and Moscow will continue debating the deployment of missile defense system.
Czechia’s Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek’s did not care a rush to Russia’s proposal on the joint use of the radar station.
“It seems as if Russia again intends to influence on Central Europe. However, Putin’s discussing this with the US is a considerable progress,” he said.
French President Nikola Sarkozy took a stance on the US using Gabala radar station.
“I do not think that Putin wants to restart cold war,” he said. /APA/
