Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan is ready for talks over use of radar station by US

The Minister said that the issue was debated during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Baku.
“We stated that though Russia has rented Gabala radar station, any negotiations beyond Azerbaijan’s will are unacceptable as it is Azerbaijan’s property. Russia has appealed to Azerbaijan regarding this issue. Azerbaijan is ready for bilateral and trilateral debates on the issue,†the minister said.
The Foreign Minister also noted that this cooperation can hardly ever create any problems for Azerbaijan-Iran relations.
“Azerbaijan’s policy is designed to prioritize the national interests.†the minister underlined. /APA/
