Guba hosts practical conference on Armenians’ genocide against Azerbaijanis

The director of History Institute, MP Yagub Mahmudov opened the meeting with speech, APA correspondent to Guba reports. Yagub Mahmudov said mass graves emerged as the result of Armenians’ massacres are found in other parts of Azerbaijan too.
He said Russian Bolshevik-Armenian Army killed about two thousand children and women from May 1 to 10 in 1918. Yagub Mahmudov said it is important to unveil the results of expedition involved in the study of mass graves.
He stressed the importance of protecting the graves in Guba and setting monument to the victims of massacres. Maisa Rahimova, head of Archaeology and Ethnography Institute said Application of 13 articles was addressed to the governments and 93 thousand AZM was allocated by state on the purchase of necessary equipment.
Guba District’s prosecutor Karimagha Taghiyev said the Prosecutor carried out investigations on Armenians’ massacres in Guba.
Guba district Executive Power’s head Arzuman Aliyev emphasized that Armenians massacred nearly 3500 Lezghins and Jews in 1918. Scientific Expedition members are holding meetings with the region’s people. /APA/
