Valeri Chechelashvili today took up his position of GUAM Secretary General, APA Georgia bureau reports.
Chechelashvili was dismissed from his previous position-Foreign Minister of Georgia. Nikoloz Vashakidze has been appointed to this position by the order of Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli.
Prior to this Nikoloz Vashakidze was in the post of Deputy Foreign Minister.
Chechelashvili was appointed Secretary General of GUAM – Organization for Democracy and Economic Development by the decision of GUAM Foreign Ministers Council on September 25, 2006. /APA/
