â€œFree Information Spaceâ€ prize presented

A number of state, economical and international organizations were awarded nomination â€œFree Information Spaceâ€, APA reports. According to the survey, Foreign Ministry ranks first, Communication and Information Technologies Ministry second and Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry ranks third among state bodies. â€œAzercell Telekomâ€ Joint Enterprise comes first, International Bank second and Garadag Cement third among joint stock companies ad joint enterprises.
OSCE Office in Baku, USAID and TUSIAB among international organizations, US, Norwegian and Turkish Embassies in Azerbaijan among foreign embassies are among the winners. Yevlakh Executive Power and Baku Mayorâ€™s office have been awarded for close relation with press.
Monitoring Group of Human Rights Organizations and Coalition for Improving Transparency in Extractive Industry among NGOs have been awarded. Foreign Ministry Press and Information Policy Departmentâ€™s former chief, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Czechia Tahir Taghizadeh has been awarded on the nomination â€œFree Information Leaderâ€. The ceremony continued with the participation of cultural representatives.
The winners have been selected as a result of survey which covered 150 respondents. /APA/
