Electoral law may face amendments till next municipality elections

Amendments may be introduced to the electoral law till the next municipality elections in Azerbaijan. Yusifov Shamistan, Chair of the National Association of Settlement-municipalities told Azerbaijan journalists, APA reports. He said many municipalities applied to be united and those applications will be generalized and submitted to relevant bodies. Association chairman thinks municipality with 300-500 people face difficulties in settling social problems.
Shamistan Yusifov said according to the approved project on municipalities, education, cultural institutions and water economy will be given to the disposal of municipalities. He thinks as the municipalities will not be able to govern this economy they need to unite./APA/
