“We sent a note to Azerbaijan for the solution of the issue concerning Russian TV channels on mutual basis on April 9. The note proposes to transmit one Russian TV channel in Azerbaijan and one Azerbaijani channel in Russia,†Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting in Baku State University.
He said that Russia proposed relevant Azerbaijani bodies to analyze and express their positions.
“We understand the efforts of raising relations among television bodies to the level of market relations. It should be taken into account that television is not only a humanitarian but also a commercial project,†he said. /APA/
