Rafael Huseynov: The causer of displacement of one million Azerbaijanis is in the Council of Europe

â€œTo speak about democracy and to be real democrats are different things,â€ Azerbaijani parliamentarian Rafael Huseynov said at the debates on the situation of democracy and human rights in Europe, APA correspondent reports. Rafael Huseynov drew attention on the fact of occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenian forces.
â€œSometimes we fight for restoration of rights of some people, while forget thousands of people whose rights have been violated, or we do not fight for their rights well enough. For example, Azerbaijan is a country that has undergone occupation. About on million Azerbaijanis lost their houses, wealth, health, comfort, opportunity to be educated. This process has been continuing for 15 years. Azerbaijan is the only member of the Council of Europe which is in this situation,â€ he said.
Rafael Huseynov said the Council of Europe should work hard to remove this double approach.
â€œSince about one million people have become displaced and the offender is in the Council of Europe, we should not declaim about democracy and human rights,â€ he said. /APA/
